Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) Mission Statement
To provide services and an environment free of physical violence, sexual assault, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse and restriction of personal liberty. CIS respects the worth, dignity and uniqueness of the individual and supports these values through education, personal growth, self reliance and self determination.
CIS Values Statement
We believe all people have the right to a life free of physical violence, sexual assault, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse and restriction of personal liberty. We believe that violence is societal problem, a learned behavior, and with intervention the cycle can be broken. We believe in the worth, dignity and uniqueness of the individual and we support these values through education, personal growth, self-reliance and self-determination.
Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) helps victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and their children cope with the initial crisis and aftermath of these violent crimes. CIS began providing services in Park County, Wyoming in January 1982. Crisis Intervention Services has expanded its services over the years to include 2 full time offices (1 in Cody and 1 in Powell), outreach to Meeteetse and rural areas of Park County in addition to 2 battered women’s shelters (1 in Cody and 1 in Powell).
